Dave was an excellent athlete. He pole vaulted while I ran hurdles in track - I have good memories of our workouts and of his unique wry smile and sense of humor. He was always encouraging me to perform at my highest level. He was a respected leader in his financial career. Interestingly, I was referred to him in an executive search I was handling in the 1980's. My impression: he clearly was one of our most intellegent class mates.
David's daughter-in-law was kind enough to send this to us. Sadly, David's son, David Brent Baily, Jr. died in a climbing accident in 2002. He was thirty years old.
I had a secret crush on David Bailey. Always thought of him as one of the most handsome men in our class! I was so sad when I heard about his passing in an automobile accident so many years ago. May you rest in peace David.

I was saddened to realize he passed so very youong andso long ago. I am sorry I didn't know him better. Rest in peace Dave.
