I searched the internet for months trying to find the information or obituary for Curt. I found a "Curt Lerew" in Arizona and was hopeful that the information we received about Curt's passing was incorrect. I called and left messages but never received a return call. I kept calling until his son, also "Curt Lerew," finally answered and confirmed the sad news.
I did not ask for any details as I know how difficut it can be for some to talk about such things; however, Curt told me he was going to try to find a copy of the obituary so we could post it on the class website. I never heard back from him so I am assuming he was unable to find the obituary article. If you want to contact him, his number is (480) 570-8464.
I talked to Carla and found out that he had died back in 2005. He was in a bad car accident in Oregon. He broke his neck, while In the hospital they put a halo on him and put him in an induced coma. They did a X-ray of his head and neck and found an inoperable brain tumor. He passed away a short time after that.
Carla is the only one left of the family and she lives in Georgia.
